The Community Ambassador role is perfect for food lovers, event enthusiasts, students and those looking to gain grassroots marketing experience.
This is a volunteer position, but offers autonomy over the planning, approach and direction of the role leading up to each of the four Restaurant Day events world wide (the third Saturday in November, February, May and March)
As a Community Ambassador for Restaurant Day, you will be the contact point for the Restaurant Day movement in your area. This involves communicating with participants, managing and posting on your community’s Facebook page, and helping participants with choosing cool and ideal locations. Your goal as ambassador is to be the best facilitator for promoting and making Restaurant Day events in your region a success.
You will use Restaurant Day promotional tools and strategies that will strengthen the customer service relationship and increase brand awareness of Restaurant Day within your specific community.
What will make you successful in this role is your positive and engaging personality. Experience in customer service, sales and/or hospitality would also be of value, but a passion for Restaurant Day is really all it takes to be a fantastic Community Ambassador.
